Career

From mechanical engineering to intellectual property.

I studied mechanical engineering at Leibniz University Hannover, specialising in motion engineering, robotics and biomedical engineering. Research and project work took me to the Institute of Turbomachinery, the Institute of Materials Science, the Institute of Process Engineering and the Laser Zentrum Hannover, among others.

After my legal training, I have been a German patent attorney since 2010. For many years I worked at a large IP firm in Bremen, most recently as a partner. Today I advise my clients with YAK–IP, my own practice.
